Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether the settled status document will be free for EU citizens in the UK with a valid permanent residence document; and if he will make a statement.

EU citizens and their family members who are resident in the UK before the date the UK leaves the EU and hold valid permanent residence documents at the time that they apply for settled status will not pay a fee. This will also apply to beneficiaries of the Withdrawal Agreement who hold indefinite leave to enter or remain in the UK.
