Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what guidance his Department provides to NHS Trusts on the provision of private healthcare leaflets in NHS hospitals advertising medical services.

We have provided no such guidance.

NHS England has issued general guidance to National Health Service organisations on the sale of advertising space to generate additional income. The guidance is clear that third party advertisements should not suggest that the NHS endorses or recommends the advertiser’s goods or services. It can be found at the following web address:
