Question to the Department for International Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, with reference to his oral contribution of 9 January 2018, on the Trade Bill, if he will list the countries which have indicated an interest in negotiating a new trade agreement with the UK after the UK leaves the EU where those countries have an existing agreement with the EU.

All the countries which currently have an agreement with the EU are clear that these talks are purely technical exercises aimed at replicating as far as possible the effects of current trade agreements to ensure continuity.

It will be possible at a future date to update any agreement with the agreement of both partners.
