The Government is committed to ensuring that all potential victims of modern slavery receive the appropriate specialist support that they require. If an individual is destitute when they are identified, and has no other options for accommodation, they will be accommodated through the Victim Care Contract, through which support is provided to adult victims. This will happen before a decision is taken as to whether there are reasonable grounds to believe that the person is a victim of slavery and trafficking .
