The Government is working closely with the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to ensure it is appropriately resourced for any new responsibilities after the UK leaves the EU. HM Treasury has provided the CMA with additional funding in 2017/18 to begin preparations for leaving the EU. The Government will continue to work with the CMA on this as the negotiations with the EU proceed.
