Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, with reference to his Department's publication Future in Mind, published in March 2015, whether his Department has plans to review the target for 35 per cent of children with diagnosable mental health conditions to receive treatment by 2020-21 as a result of the publication of the green paper, Transforming children and young people’s mental health provision.

The Government remains committed to meeting the goals set out in NHS England’s Five Year Forward View for Mental Health and accompanying implementation plan. However, as set out in Implementing the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health, the target of 35% of children with a diagnosable mental health condition receiving treatment by 2020/21 will be reviewed in 2018 following publication of a new national prevalence study.
