Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, with reference to the UK's ratification of The Geneva Act (1999) of the Hague Agreement concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs, what assessment his Department has made of the effect of the UK leaving the EU on the ability of UK businesses to register their designs internationally.

The Government intends to ratify the Hague Agreement to join the international system in a national capacity, which will ensure UK designers are able to register their designs internationally after the UK leaves the EU.
