The number of National Health Service staff (full-time equivalent) working in mental health and learning disability trusts from July 2013 to July 2017 increased by a little over 4,300. Comparisons with 2010 were not done as primary care trusts also delivered some mental health services before 2013, and it is not possible to separately identify all staff in primary care trusts providing this service.
