Treasury officials work closely with BEIS officials on energy policy. In line with the practice of successive administrations, details of departmental discussions are not normally disclosed.

This announcement provides visibility about future low carbon electricity levies for consumers and industry, as well as confirmation of up to £557 million for further Contracts for Difference support for low carbon electricity.
