Asylum seekers who would otherwise be destitute are provided with accommodation and a cash allowance to cover their essential living needs.

The level of the allowance is reviewed each year and the review takes account of the cost of sanitary products.

A report of the most recent review can be found at: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/report-on-review-of-cash-allowance-paid-to-asylum-seekers

The assessment of the cost of sanitary products can be found at Annex A to the report.
