NHS Trusts: Subsidiary Companies

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many subsidiary companies are being established by (a) individual NHS and Foundation Trusts and (b) multiple Trusts for the purpose of sharing services.

This information is not collected centrally. Foundation trusts report 39 subsidiaries, although the purpose for which these were established is not available.
