The Department for Communities and Local Government provided £1.15 million in 2017/18 to the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust to deliver the UK Government's annual ceremony as well as local activities across the country. We also provided £25,000 in 2017/18 to Stop Hate UK to support National Hate Crime Awareness Week in October this year. We have provided no funding to Black History Month. The Department monitors the effectiveness of all projects for which we provide funding.
