Departmental officials meet regularly with their counterparts in the devolved administrations to share learning and best practice in order to help people to stop smoking. These meetings are designed to share key research and policy developments to ensure that we are all able to learn from the experience of others. Health is a devolved competence which means that, ultimately, decisions on key aspects of tobacco control policy and implementation are matters for devolved administrations to determine.
