Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what recent discussions he has had with his Mauritian counterpart on the UN vote on the legal status of the Chagos Islands.

Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, Minister with responsibility for the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), met Sir Anerood Jugnauth (Mauritian Minister Mentor, Minister for Defence and Minister for Rodrigues) in New York on 19 June to discuss the Territory.
