Question to the Department for International Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, what assessment he has made of future trends in exports by the UK legal services sector.

Legal services are a key export for the UK, with the UK legal services sector the most international legal sector in the world. We expect access to the UK’s legal services sector to continue to be in high demand.

The Department for International Trade is engaged with the Ministry of Justice, other Departments and representatives of the legal services sector to discuss opportunities to further promote the UK legal services sector, and the benefits of the UK legal systems, overseas. The Rt Hon Lord Keen of Elie QC launched the ‘Legal Services are GREAT’ campaign in October.
