Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what the pupil-teacher ratio was in secondary schools in Coventry South constituency in each year since 2010.

The attached table provides the average pupil to teacher ratio[1] in state funded secondary schools as reported by schools in Coventry South parliamentary constituency and England in November each year from 2011 to 2016.

[1] The Pupil Teacher Ratios are calculated by dividing the total FTE number of pupils on roll in schools in each year by the total number of FTE teachers in schools in each year. Where schools are not open on Census day (January) they are excluded. See School Workforce Census methodology document for further information: Methodology: SFR25/2017.
