The number of women who have had terminations in England and Wales from January to June 2020 and who are resident in Northern Ireland is 323. Of these, nearly all will have been funded through the United Kingdom Government funded Northern Ireland abortion scheme.

The cost of supporting women travelling from Northern Ireland to England to access abortion services in 2020/21 is not yet known and will not be available until after the end of the financial year.
