Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, on how many occasions his Department has been taken to an employment tribunal for maternity discrimination in each year since 2010.

There have been 5 employment tribunal cases raised in the Department for Work and Pensions since 2010 – one case in 2010, one case in 2013 and three cases in 2016.

These cases have been recorded under the category of Maternity and Parental Leave Regulations. Two of these are still active.
