I visited Egypt and met with my counterparts in August 2017. I will return for the El Alamein commemorations on 21 October. There are currently no plans for me or the Foreign Secretary to visit the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa. The joint FCO/DFID Minister for Africa, Rory Stewart MP, visited Addis Ababa in August this year and had meetings with the AU Commission Chair and officials.
