Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:
To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what steps he has taken to remove barriers to social tenants running a business from home.
The Department wrote to all social landlords in November 2010 drawing their attention to guidance issued by the Chartered Institute of Housing designed to ensure tenants are provided with encouragement, help and advice on home working. The guidance, ‘Running a Business from Home’, includes advice for local authorities and other social landlords on how to amend their tenancies, if necessary, to make it easier for new and existing tenants to work from home
