Question to the Department for International Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, what steps her Department is taking to increase trade with Australia.

The UK recently signed a Free Trade Agreement with Australia on 16^th December 2021. The deal is expected to increase trade with Australia by 53% in the long run. The UK and Australia have committed to removing tariffs on a vast array of popular products which can now be more easily traded between the two countries including eliminating tariffs on 100% of UK exports. This deal is tailored to British strengths providing benefits for our world-class services industry, unprecedented new opportunities for UK professionals to work in Australia and trading digitally.
