Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether the decision on rolling stock procurement for the Midland Main Line will be made by the direct award being negotiated with East Midlands Trains or the next franchise award.

I announced the terms of the Direct Award with East Midlands Trains on 16 September.
